Xuanwu Hospital operates approximately 1,159 beds and provides outpatient services for around 8,000 patients daily. The hospital employs more than 2,200 staff members, including nearly 700 senior professionals and nationally recognized medical and academic experts. Clinical services are delivered through 31 clinical departments and 11 medical technology departments spanning neurology, neurosurgery, geriatrics, imaging, rehabilitation, surgery, and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

Xuanwu Hospital is widely recognized for leadership in neurology, neurosurgery, geriatric medicine, neurointervention, neuropathology, neurorehabilitation, functional neurosurgery, and neurological imaging. Neurology and neurosurgery are designated national key disciplines and have received multiple National Science and Technology Progress Awards. The hospital also serves as a major center for geriatric disease prevention, chronic disease management, and multidisciplinary neurological care through national research and clinical platforms, including the National Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases and China International Neuroscience Institute. As the First Clinical Medical School of Capital Medical University, the hospital supports large-scale medical education, residency training, and specialist physician development.

Medical Technology & Equipment

Xuanwu Hospital supports advanced diagnosis, imaging, minimally invasive treatment, and translational neuroscience through high-end medical equipment including PET, PET-MRI, PET-CT, MRI systems, spiral CT, SPECT, dual C-arm DSA systems, Doppler ultrasound platforms, and automated biochemical analytical systems. The hospital also advances precision neurology, interventional treatment, and digital medicine through research and translational clinical platforms.
