Brainomix Raises £14M in Series C Funding to Expand AI-Powered Imaging Solutions for Stroke and Lung Fibrosis
Brainomix, a leading innovator in AI-powered medical imaging, has announced the successful closure of a £14M ($18M) Series C funding round. The investment, co-led by Parkwalk Advisors, the Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund (BIVF), and new investor Hostplus, will drive the company’s expansion into the US market and fuel the development of cutting-edge AI solutions for stroke and lung fibrosis.
Founded as a spinout from the University of Oxford, Brainomix has grown into a global leader in AI imaging, operating in over 20 countries. Its flagship product, Brainomix 360 Stroke, uses advanced AI algorithms to automate imaging biomarkers, enabling faster and more accurate diagnosis and treatment decisions. Deployed in more than 300 hospitals across Europe, the technology has already benefited over 1.5 million patients.
Clinical studies have shown that Brainomix 360 Stroke can increase the number of patients receiving mechanical thrombectomy—a critical stroke treatment—by 50%, significantly reducing disability rates. Building on this success, Brainomix has also developed Brainomix 360 e-Lung, an FDA-cleared AI tool designed to predict the progression of lung fibrosis. The company is collaborating with Boehringer Ingelheim, a global leader in lung fibrosis treatments, to evaluate the real-world impact of e-Lung in improving patient outcomes.
