Philips announces the official establishment of the Monitoring Business Group’s China R&D team by reorganising its patient monitoring R&D staff at the Philips China Innovation Centre in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province.

Reporting directly to Yi-Qiong Pan, Head of Greater China Monitoring Business Group, the team will efficiently integrate global and local strengths and resources to bring more customised products and solutions to the Chinese market through an end-to-end management model, creating more value for Chinese customers.

China is the second largest market for Philips globally, and we attach great importance to the unmet needs of Chinese hospitals and patients, and are committed to contributing to the high-quality development of China’s healthcare system with meaningful innovations. The establishment of the Philips Monitoring Business’ China R&D team is an important step in the implementation of our China strategy and our commitment to “In China, For China”.

As part of Philips’ China strategy, the establishment of the China R&D team will further deepen the localisation layout in China, enhance the local innovation capability in patient monitoring, efficiently integrate product development, manufacturing and production, and market access, and enable local innovative products to be more closely aligned with the actual needs of patients and hospitals.
