GE HealthCare has announced an immediate strategic overhaul of its operating structure and executive team, combining its two largest segments into a new $14.6 billion unit called Advanced Imaging Solutions. As part of an effort to enhance execution, accelerate innovation, and drive growth, the company also created a Global Markets region and appointed new commercial leadership.

Phil Rackliffe has been named President and CEO of Advanced Imaging Solutions, which merges the former Imaging and Advanced Visualization Solutions segments. The new unit encompasses an AI-enabled portfolio including MR, CT, Molecular Imaging, Women’s Health, X-ray, Ultrasound, Image-guided Solutions, and Enterprise Imaging. Pharmaceutical Diagnostics and Patient Care Solutions will continue as separate segments. Separately, Catherine Estrampes has been appointed Chief Commercial and Growth Officer, leading the newly formed Global Markets region, which covers every market except China, where Will Song remains in charge.

Peter Arduini, President and CEO of GE HealthCare, stated that the changes are designed to simplify operations and position the company to serve customers in a more integrated manner. “Building on the progress we’ve made since our spinoff, we are simplifying how we operate and positioning ourselves to serve customers in a more integrated and differentiated way to enable growth and margin acceleration in 2026 and beyond,” he said.

Roland Rott, former President and CEO of Imaging, is leaving the company to pursue external opportunities. During his 15-year tenure, he advanced AI-enabled capabilities across Imaging and Ultrasound and led strategic acquisitions including Caption Health, icometrix, and BK Medical. Arduini thanked Rott for his contributions, stating: “His expertise played a key role in evolving GE HealthCare into a broader healthcare solutions provider.” Elie Chaillot, previously President and CEO of EMEA and Rest of World, will assume a strategic role focused on high-priority initiatives, reporting directly to Arduini.

GE HealthCare expects to provide recast financial results reflecting the new segment structure in its second quarter 2026 SEC filings, which will be released alongside its Q2 earnings. The two newly appointed executives both bring decades of medtech experience. Rackliffe previously led divisions at Baxter, Boston Scientific, and Pfizer, and Estrampes has held commercial leadership roles across Europe and North America since joining the company in 1990.
