Inquis Medical Raises $75M Series C to Advance Commercialization of AVENTUS Thrombectomy System

California-based Inquis Medical secured $75 million in Series C financing to support the national commercial expansion of its AVENTUS thrombectomy system and to further develop its product pipeline. An undisclosed strategic investor funded the round, which follows the company’s transition to a commercial-stage organization in 2025.
The financing comes after a year of regulatory and clinical milestones for the Menlo Park–based company. Inquis Medical expanded regulatory clearance for the AVENTUS system to include pulmonary embolism and published pivotal clinical data in the Journal of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions. The study reported effective thrombus removal in 130 patients with intermediate-risk pulmonary embolism, while minimizing blood loss through integrated autologous blood reinfusion and reporting no device-related adverse events.
“The successful closing of our Series C financing marks a pivotal inflection point for Inquis Medical as we scale our footprint in the VTE market,” said Vahid Saadat, co-founder and co-CEO of Inquis Medical. He added that the partnership with a strategic investor provides the capital needed to advance the company’s long-term vision in venous thromboembolic care.
The Series C builds on a $40 million Series B round completed in August 2024, led by Marshall Wace. According to the company, the new funding will be used to expand its sales and physician training infrastructure while continuing to grow its clinical evidence base and advance next-generation technologies.

The AVENTUS thrombectomy system is designed to address procedural challenges associated with large-vessel thrombectomy, including pulmonary embolism. Its platform combines directional aspiration with in-line blood reinfusion and proprietary tissue-sensing technology that provides real-time feedback to help differentiate between blood, clot, and vessel wall during intervention.
