Interventional Systems and ProVoyance Partner to Integrate Robotic Navigation Platforms
Interventional Systems and ProVoyance have announced a strategic platform partnership to explore and develop integrated robotic navigation capabilities, combining two FDA-cleared platforms. The collaboration combines Interventional Systems’ Micromate miniature robot and ProVoyance’s AI-enabled preoperative planning software into a framework to deliver end-to-end solutions for OEM partners.
The companies intend to co-develop solutions to improve surgical accuracy, streamline workflows, and expand access to robotic navigation across surgical care settings. According to the partners, building on two already-cleared platforms offers OEMs a competitive advantage by reducing time, cost, and regulatory risk in the product development cycle.
Pedro Costa, Chief Strategy Officer of Austria-based Interventional Systems, stated that the partnership reinforces both companies’ commitment to exploring synergies. “The integration of ProVoyance’s intelligent surgical planning with our differentiated approach to robotics is a force multiplier for OEM partners aiming to integrate cost-effective yet cutting-edge enabling technologies into their portfolios,” he stated.
Mark Johnson, EVP Sales and Business Development of Michigan-based ProVoyance, said the Micromate platform will transform ProVoyance into a complete, validated end-to-end workflow that OEM partners can bring to market with confidence. “We built ProVoyance to make intelligent surgical planning accessible at scale, and this partnership is the clearest signal yet that we are delivering on that promise,” he said.
Both companies plan to share additional details about upcoming joint solutions in the near future. The partnership focuses on addressing unmet needs in robotic navigation by offering integrated preoperative planning and miniature robotic execution within a single validated workflow.
