Vitestro Raises $70 Million Series B to Advance Autonomous Robotic Blood Collection

Vitestro has secured $70 million in an oversubscribed Series B financing round to advance the development and commercialization of its autonomous robotic blood collection technology. The Utrecht, Netherlands-based medical robotics company said the proceeds will support development of the next-generation Aletta system and expand its integration into high-volume clinical workflows. The funding will also support the company’s De Novo regulatory pathway with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and prepare for broader market entry, beginning in Europe and later targeting the U.S. market.

Vitestro’s Aletta® ARPD™ system is designed to autonomously perform diagnostic blood collection by combining multimodal imaging, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The platform is intended to identify suitable veins, guide needle insertion, and collect blood samples while supporting routine diagnostic blood draw procedures in high-volume outpatient care settings.

The financing round included new strategic investment from Labcorp Venture Fund, Mayo Clinic, and Sutter Health, alongside financial investors InterVest, MGFO, PGGM, Puma Venture Capital, and ROM Utrecht. Existing investors Invest-NL, EIC Fund, Fred Moll, NYBC Ventures, and Sonder Capital also participated.
