The company plans to use the funding to scale adoption of the platform and continue building AI tools designed for comprehensive CT interpretation. The new funding will also support partnerships with health systems, continued R&amp;D, and preparation for commercial rollout in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investment follows two recent milestones for the Boston-based startup. The first was FDA clearance for a2z-Unified-Triage, which is the first system in the U.S. that can simultaneously triage seven urgent conditions on abdomen\u2013pelvis CT scans. The second was the company\u2019s debut at RSNA 2025, where it presented the first prospective study evaluating AI-assisted preliminary report drafting for abdomen\u2013pelvis CT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In that study, AI support reduced reporting time by 17.8 percent, raised radiologist confidence by 14.8 percent, and lowered mental demand by 22.4 percent. The findings also showed improved detection of abnormalities without increasing false positives, offering early evidence that comprehensive AI could enhance both diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency. These results help address longstanding questions about the real-world clinical value of radiology AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investors highlighted the potential impact of a2z\u2019s approach. \u201cRadiology is one of the areas that will benefit the most from AI, ensuring no disease goes undetected,\u201d said Vinod Khosla of Khosla Ventures. \u201cWhile others focus on single conditions, a2z is able to evaluate imaging for a broad range of issues, bringing us closer to the comprehensive capabilities of a real-life radiologist.\u201d Dr. Kid Parchariyanon, Founder and Managing Partner at SeaX Ventures, added that delays in radiology can slow patient care, noting that the company\u2019s technology \u201cbrings expert-level support directly to clinicians.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rising imaging volumes continue to strain radiology services, especially in high-demand areas like abdomen\u2013pelvis CT, which accounts for more than 20 million scans annually in the U.S. a2z aims to address this gap with systems designed to evaluate studies holistically, mirroring how radiologists review cases. \u201cThe response at RSNA validated what we\u2019ve been building\u2014AI that considers everything from A to Z in each study,\u201d said Pranav Rajpurkar, PhD, co-founder of a2z Radiology AI and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School.
