The center is the first fully domestic high-end hybrid surgical demonstration platform in Central China and the country&#8217;s first smart integrated surgical platform specifically designed to support full-technical-pathway implantable brain-computer interface (BCI) procedures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The center features United Imaging&#8217;s self-developed uOR Magic Hybrid Operating Room System, equipped with a full suite of domestic high-end smart surgical devices including a 10-axis bionic DSA, an intraoperative water-cooled sliding CT, and a dual-first-class smart laparoscopy and energy platform. With the &#8220;Magic Core&#8221; as its intelligent hub, the platform integrates preoperative rapid diagnosis, intraoperative precise treatment, and postoperative smart rehabilitation into a one-stop perioperative care system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The platform provides critical support for brain-computer interface research. Through United Imaging&#8217;s fully self-developed ecosystem, the intraoperative water-cooled sliding CT captures intracranial images within tens of seconds, combined with a dual-navigation system enabling &#8220;real-time verification and adjustment during implantation.&#8221; For semi-invasive procedures, the system reconstructs the patient&#8217;s actual cerebral cortex through multimodal image fusion and uses AR navigation to project preset electrode positions directly onto the surgical field, ensuring precise electrode array placement in a single attempt. For interventional procedures, the 10-axis bionic DSA, combined with AI-powered vascular pathway planning, guides electrodes through tortuous blood vessels with precision. Hu Junbo, President of Tongji Hospital, said the center enables complex procedures that previously required multiple transport steps and separate operations to be completed in a single session in the same space, improving overall surgical efficiency by more than 50 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">United Imaging&#8217;s collaboration with Tongji Hospital began in 2018 with the establishment of the United Imaging-Tongji Medical Innovation Center. The center focuses on more than 20 advanced technologies, including imaging diagnostic equipment and smart surgical robots. In 2019, the neurosurgical robot they jointly developed completed clinical trials at Tongji Hospital and received market approval.
