Ling Liu Appointed as Chief Region Leader of Philips Greater China

Royal Philips has announced the immediate appointment of Ms. Ling Liu as the Chief Region Leader of Philips Greater China, succeeding Andy Ho who is retiring after a distinguished career. The two are working together to ensure a seamless transition. She joins Philips’ Executive Committee and reports directly to CEO Roy Jakobs, who expressed his delight in Liu’s appointment, highlighting her international experience and HealthTech expertise in China. He also praised Andy Ho for his nine years of exceptional leadership in supporting China’s national health strategy and enhancing Philips’ role as a trusted partner in the region.

Ms. Liu, who joined Philips in 1998, has held various roles across Greater China, the Netherlands, and North America. Most recently, she served as Chief Commercial Officer in Greater China and previously as Head of Finance for Philips North America. Her career is marked by a strong track record in driving execution, boosting performance, and delivering significant value to customers and partners. Liu is passionate about quality care and sustainable healthcare in China, reflecting her commitment to enhancing the nation’s health sector. She holds a Master of Finance and Control from Maastricht University, a Master’s degree in Management Engineering from Shanghai University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Zhejiang University.

Philips celebrated its 100th anniversary in China in 2023, underscoring its long-standing commitment to improving lives through innovation and partnerships. China remains Philips’ second-largest market and a key growth engine.
