Neusoft Medical has received approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for two new 8cm wide-body photon-counting CT (PCCT) systems: the NeuPhotonix E317 All-in-One and the NeuPhotonix E319 High-End Research AI Edition. The approvals expand the company’s 8cm wide-body photon-counting CT portfolio following the NeuViz P10, providing more options for clinical and research needs across different tiers of healthcare institutions.

Photon-counting CT is a significant technological direction in medical imaging, offering high resolution, low dose, and native multi-energy spectral capabilities for clinical diagnosis and research in oncology, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, and respiratory conditions. Neusoft Medical has invested years in overcoming key technical challenges, including cadmium zinc telluride photon-counting detector technology. It continues to advance core components, system integration, and algorithm development to bring advanced photon technology to more healthcare institutions.

The two newly approved products are built on an 8cm full-detector wide-body photon-counting hardware platform and are positioned to address differentiated clinical and research needs. Designed for prefecture-level tier 3A hospitals, the NeuPhotonix E317 All-in-One features the NeuSpace basic post-processing system with standard AI applications, which are available through multi-product bundled models to lower the barrier to photon-counting CT adoption. It supports optional advanced features including respiratory gating, 2048 matrix, and patient monitoring.

The NeuPhotonix E319 High-End Research AI Edition is designed for national and regional medical centers, oncology specialty hospitals, and research-oriented institutions, featuring a 0.221-second rotation speed, a 610mm scan field of view, respiratory gating, COPD specialty analysis, 2048 high-definition matrix, AI-assisted positioning, patient movement monitoring, and A-Touch handheld control, along with large-capacity storage, a complete research platform, specialty databases, and vascular AI applications.

Combined with the previously approved NeuViz P10, Neusoft Medical has formed a complete three-model 8cm wide-body photon-counting CT portfolio with differentiated configurations for prefecture-level tertiary hospitals, national and regional medical centers, and oncology research hospitals, filling a gap in tiered domestic photon-counting CT products. Alongside portfolio expansion, the company is deepening collaboration with healthcare institutions and industry partners. For vascular disease research, Neusoft Medical has established a Photon CT Whole-Body Vascular Digital Twin Committee with multiple installing hospitals and industry partners to advance the integration of photon-counting CT imaging, imaging AI, and hemodynamic analysis.
