RICOH and Materialise Collaborate on 3D-printed Patient-specific Solutions

At RSNA 2023, Ricoh USA announced a partnership with Materialise to provide software solutions to support RICOH 3D for Healthcare, a HIPAA-compliant, ISO 13485 certified 3D medical manufacturing center for the development, design and production of 3D-printed anatomic models.

The partnership will leverage both parties’ leading software solutions to provide affordable point of care 3D printing services to hospitals across the country, expand the use of Materialise software within Ricoh’s workflows, and continually improve the toolset available to better serve patient care.

With RICOH 3D for Healthcare, hospitals can quickly and affordably adopt or advance point of care manufacturing without having to become an FDA-registered medical device manufacturer, implement a complex and costly quality management system, navigate regulatory requirements or manage the administrative aspects of supporting a multidisciplinary team. The partnership reimagines point-of-care 3D printing to democratise enterprise-wide, patient-specific surgical innovation for the rest of the population.

Ricoh’s ecosystem of partners, including Materialise, Merative and Stratasys, have enabled Ricoh to bring world-class software in a first-of-its-kind, end-to-end solution to various healthcare institutions across the country to drive more point of care sites and capabilities nationwide,” said Gary Turner, Managing Director, Additive Manufacturing, North America, Ricoh USA.

This partnership will provide a large managed services infrastructure that will enable hospital systems to more quickly and cost-effectively implement and scale 3D technology for their physicians and patients,” said Bryan Crutchfield, Vice President and General Manager of Materialise North America.
