Solventum has appointed Heather Knight as Chief Commercial Officer, effective November 10, 2025. In this newly created position, she will lead commercial strategy and R&D operations across the company’s MedSurg, Dental Solutions, and Health Information Systems segments, reporting directly to CEO Bryan Hanson.

Knight brings more than three decades of experience in the MedTech sector, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Baxter International, where she oversaw global sales, R&D, supply chain, and medical and regulatory affairs. Her career includes leadership roles at Medtronic, Covidien, Tyco Healthcare, and Kendall, and she currently sits on the board of Waters Corporation.

Announcing the appointment, Hanson said the move strengthens Solventum’s leadership structure as it continues to build out its commercial capabilities following its launch as a standalone company. “Heather’s appointment to the new role of Chief Commercial Officer reflects Solventum’s commitment to building a high-performing organization,” he said. “By aligning our go-to-market strategy under one leader, we will enhance our ability to leverage the size and scale of Solventum, driving more coordinated execution and profitable growth.”

Knight said she is joining the company at what she called “a pivotal time” in the execution of its multi-year plan. She noted that Solventum holds strong positions across its portfolio and said she looks forward to supporting commercial productivity and market development efforts.

As part of the leadership change, Chris Barry, Executive Vice President and Group President of MedSurg, will depart the company at the end of the year after supporting a transition process. Solventum said the change does not affect its financial guidance and that its next business update will accompany third-quarter results in early November.
