Stereotaxis to Acquire Electrophysiology Catheter Developer Access Point Technologies

Stereotaxis has announced an agreement to acquire Access Point Technologies (APT), a privately-held Minnesota-based company that develops, manufactures and markets a portfolio of differentiated, high-quality diagnostic catheters for cardiac ablation procedures. APT is expected to contribute approximately $5 million in annual revenue to Stereotaxis in the first year following the acquisition.

The acquisition of APT provides Stereotaxis with high-quality catheter design and manufacturing capabilities that offer valuable commercial synergies and strategically strengthens us in the broad adoption of robotics in endovascular surgery,” said David Fischel, Chairman and CEO of Stereotaxis, a pioneer and global leader in surgical robotics for minimally invasive endovascular interventions.
