This move is part of Olympus\u2019s strategic initiative to handle its medical technology sales and distribution directly in South America, aiming to optimize service delivery and market penetration in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2013, Surmedical has been a key distributor for Olympus in Chile, significantly contributing to Olympus\u2019s leadership in the gastrointestinal sector and endotherapy products. With the acquisition, Olympus will transition to a direct distribution model under the newly established Olympus Corporation Chile. This direct market presence is expected to streamline operations, improve customer service, and accelerate the delivery of innovative medical technologies to healthcare providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jose Gaston, President of Olympus Latin America, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, noting, &#8220;This strategic move not only solidifies our presence in Chile but also provides us with a robust platform to enhance direct interactions with our customers.
