Roche has received CE mark approval for integrating its Accu-Chek SmartGuide continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system with the mySugr diabetes management app. The update enables users to access glucose values and AI-enabled predictions alongside other therapy data, offering a consolidated digital tool to support day-to-day management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the European Association for the Study of Diabetes annual meeting, Roche presented real-world evidence from the rollout of SmartGuide, including findings that its Night Low Predict feature reduced the likelihood of Level 1 hypoglycemic events by 20% and Level 2 events by 31% without increasing the incidence of hyperglycemia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mySugr app, available in over 80 countries and 25 languages, enables users to track therapy data, meals, and device inputs, and includes an insulin bolus calculator. Integration with SmartGuide expands its functionality with predictive insights to help users anticipate and respond to changes in glucose levels more effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since launching in 2024, SmartGuide has reached 13 countries, with plans to expand to more than 30 countries across Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific by the end of 2025.
