Designed to support clinicians in acute care environments, the system combines validated monitoring parameters with a streamlined workflow and greater flexibility for deployment across different hospital units.

A central feature of the platform is its new Cardiac Output Insights capability, which offers a visual decision-support view that enables clinicians to assess hemodynamic stability without additional hardware or invasive catheters. The feature aims to make advanced perioperative monitoring more accessible, particularly in high-risk surgeries where hypotension is a persistent concern. “There is a need to make cardiac output monitoring more accessible, so clinicians have the information they need to understand the underlying mechanisms of hemodynamic instability and make informed therapeutic decisions,” said Dr. Frédéric Michard, MD, PhD.

Carevance builds on GE HealthCare’s experience in patient monitoring and uses proprietary algorithms to improve measurement consistency across vital signs, including ECG and oxygen saturation. The system also incorporates technologies such as EK-Pro, which helps reduce false ECG alarms and supports a calmer clinical environment by lowering alarm fatigue.

GE HealthCare positioned Carevance as a scalable addition to its modular monitoring portfolio, complementing higher-acuity systems such as Carescape. “Carevance brings together reliable clinical parameters, proven acute care workflows, and continuous cardiac output monitoring capability — empowering clinicians with real-time insights to support confident decision-making,” said Neal Sandy, General Manager, Monitoring Solutions at GE HealthCare.

The platform will be presented at the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine Annual Congress in Munich from October 25 to 29, 2025, ahead of its broader commercial rollout in the region.

GE HealthCare has received CE mark for its Carevance patient monitor, expanding access to advanced monitoring in Europe with a new non-invasive cardiac output feature to support perioperative hypotension management.

[681,6,25
704,410,406
post-36510","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-care-therapy","category-europe","category-products-technologies","tag-ce-mark","tag-ge-healthcare","tag-patient-monitoring
["GET
