The advancement, introduced at the annual Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT 2025) meeting taking place Oct. 25-28 in San Francisco, CA,  connects the company\u2019s Advanced Visualization Workspace with the Azurion image-guided therapy platform and represents an early step toward CT-guided percutaneous coronary intervention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new feature, called Follow C-arm, allows reconstructed CT images of the coronary arteries to rotate automatically in parallel with the C-arm during a procedure. By removing the need for manual image manipulation, the tool provides interventional cardiologists with continuous 3D anatomical context while maintaining the flexibility of live X-ray guidance. Early clinical reports indicate that the use of coronary CT angiography in interventional planning may reduce contrast load and radiation exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As coronary CT angiography becomes more widely adopted as a front-line diagnostic tool, operators are increasingly looking for ways to incorporate those scans into procedural guidance. Philips\u2019 integration enables CT images acquired during diagnosis to support the intervention itself, reflecting a shift toward greater use of CT throughout the treatment pathway, not only during planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBy bringing pre-operative CT into the cath lab and linking it directly to the movement of the C-arm, Philips is delivering an industry-first that helps interventionalists prepare for and execute PCI procedures with greater confidence,\u201d said Mark Stoffels, Business Leader Image-Guided Therapy Systems at Philips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The launch builds on the installed base of the Azurion therapy platform, which is used globally for image-guided cardiovascular and structural heart procedures.
