The portfolio, which will debut at RSNA 2025, introduces automated planning tools, accelerated scanning, and improved image reconstruction to support earlier diagnosis and more precise management of cardiovascular disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The updates center on several advances, including SmartSpeed Precise, the integrated Dual AI acceleration technology delivering up to 3x faster imaging and up to 80% sharper images. SmartHeart, a one-click automation tool, plans and sets up all standard cardiac views in under 30 seconds, reducing dependence on operator expertise and helping departments manage staffing pressures. Additional features such as CINE FreeBreathing and cardiac motion correction aim to deliver diagnostic-quality images for patients who struggle with breath-holding or have irregular heart rhythms. Philips has also expanded its quantitative imaging tools, including CardiacQuant Perfusion, which provides non-invasive assessments of myocardial blood flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These innovations build on Philips\u2019 BlueSeal helium-free MR systems, which are designed to offer more sustainable and reliable performance. \u201cCardiac MR is one of the most powerful tools we have to assess the heart, but its complexity and exam length have been a limiting factor until now,\u201d said Ioannis Panagiotelis, PhD, Business Leader of MR at Philips. He noted that integrated AI aims to streamline the entire process, improving comfort for patients and giving clinicians more time to focus on clinical decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new capabilities support both productivity improvements and broader access to cardiac MR. Automation reduces manual steps for technologists, shortens exam times, and lowers the likelihood of repeat scans, helping departments increase throughput with existing staff and equipment. Patients benefit from fewer breath-holds, shorter procedures, and more inclusive imaging techniques that accommodate those who previously could not undergo MR exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Philips expects the enhanced workflow and diagnostic precision to support emerging clinical pathways, including early detection of heart failure and monitoring of cardiotoxicity in oncology patients. Quantitative biomarkers such as intramyocardial strain imaging can reveal subtle myocardial changes in short exam times, providing clinicians with actionable information for high-risk populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With these additions, Philips positions its cardiac MR platform as a more accessible and efficient option for hospitals and imaging centers.
