The system is designed to increase sensitivity, maintain high resolution, and support fast imaging across virtually all energy ranges, including investigational alpha emitters such as Actinium-225.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The launch comes at a time when the field of nuclear medicine is experiencing rapid growth, driven by the increasing demand for precise diagnostics and targeted therapies in oncology, neurology, and cardiovascular care. StarGuide GX aims to support this shift by enabling clinicians to image a wide variety of tracers with greater clarity and without the limitations of traditional energy ranges. The technology is intended to keep pace with the field\u2019s evolution, according to Jean-Luc Procaccini, President and CEO of Molecular Imaging and Computed Tomography at GE HealthCare, \u201cStarGuide GX is designed to help researchers and clinicians stay ahead, offering a whole new range of possibilities with one scanner\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">StarGuide GX uses dual-sided CZT detector technology to boost sensitivity and image resolution. Its dual collimator detector design removes the need for manual or automated external exchanges, which may streamline workflows and reduce physical strain for staff. The system also incorporates NVIDIA RTX accelerated computing to shorten reconstruction times and support quicker image delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Engineered for versatility, the system can image low- and high-energy tracers on a single platform, allowing departments to adapt to expanding interest in emerging therapies, including alpha emitters. Its ability to image closer to organs is intended to improve resolution and quantitation, two factors that play a key role in planning and monitoring treatment.
