{"id":40102,"date":"2026-06-15T00:50:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T00:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/g-medtech.com\/news\/?p=40102"},"modified":"2026-06-15T01:02:21","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T01:02:21","slug":"humatrix-medical-closes-series-a-financing-round-to-advance-linemartrix-biological-vascular-graft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/g-medtech.com\/news\/humatrix-medical-closes-series-a-financing-round-to-advance-linemartrix-biological-vascular-graft\/","title":{"rendered":"Humatrix Medical Closes Series A++ Financing Round to Advance LineMartrix Biological Vascular Graft"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Suzhou-based <a href=\"https:\/\/g-medtech.com\/database\/medtech-players\/index\/humatrix-medical\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Humatrix Medical<\/a> has announced the completion of its Series A++ financing round, led by BOC International Investment and including participation from existing shareholder <a href=\"https:\/\/g-medtech.com\/database\/medtech-players\/index\/suzhou-capital-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Suzhou Capital Group<\/a>, to accelerate clinical research and product registration for its lead product, the LineMartrix biological vascular graft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since founder Professor Qiu Xuefeng left his position at <a href=\"https:\/\/g-medtech.com\/database\/leading-hospitals\/index\/wuhan-union-hospital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Union Hospital affiliated with Huazhong University of Science and Technology<\/a> to found the company in June 2022, Humatrix Medical has completed six financing rounds over four years, with investors including Hofon Capital, Tahoe Venture, <a href=\"https:\/\/g-medtech.com\/database\/medtech-players\/index\/shanghai-healthcare-capital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shanghai Healthcare Capital<\/a>, IDG Capital, Puhua Capital, and <a href=\"https:\/\/g-medtech.com\/database\/medtech-players\/index\/ttgg-ventures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TTGG Ventures<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company&#8217;s independently developed domestic first biological vascular graft, LineMartrix, completed enrollment of all subjects in its clinical trial on June 8, 2026, with patient follow-up currently underway. The study represents the world&#8217;s largest randomized controlled trial comparing biological vascular grafts with ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) vascular grafts in terms of subject enrollment. In December 2025, the product was granted entry into the Innovation Medical Device Special Review Procedure of China&#8217;s NMPA (National Medical Products Administration). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Humatrix Medical is a clinical-stage company that specializes in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. It is the first company in China and the second in the world that can mass-produce small-diameter tissue-engineered vascular grafts. The company&#8217;s founder, Professor Qiu Xuefeng, studied at UC Berkeley, the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, and UCLA. Humatrix Medical specializes in the standardized, large-scale cultivation and production of small-diameter, tissue-engineered vascular grafts. These grafts are used for various applications, including hemodialysis access for patients with chronic kidney disease, replacement of lower extremity arterial trauma, treatment of lower extremity atherosclerosis, and coronary artery bypass grafting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company has built a 2,243-square-meter Grade C+A GMP production facility with an annual production capacity of over 30,000 grafts.
