With this point-of-care alert capability, clinicians in general care settings can facilitate communication between caregivers for timely intervention and patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The growing number of older and sicker patients, combined with a higher patient-to-clinician ratio on general care wards, continues to present clinicians with the challenge of caring for their patients proactively and efficiently. High workloads, job dissatisfaction, and health issues resulting from work-related stress are causing clinicians to consider leaving their current job or the nursing field altogether. A recent U.S. study published in the International Journal of Nursing Sciences revealed a nursing turnover rate of up to 27%. When high care demands coincide with staff shortages, the resulting environment could compromise patient care. Due to bandwidth challenges faced by clinicians, there has been an error rate of up to 15 per cent associated with recording vital signs on paper and transferring them to the EMR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to its connectivity capabilities, the EarlyVue VS30 monitor enables clinicians to view vital signs at the bedside or remotely via a new monitor-to-monitor data sharing feature. Designed to create new workflow efficiencies, the VS30 captures patient data.
