Scopio Labs Launches Autonomous Blood Morphology Analyzer and Secures $10M Series D Extension

Scopio Labs, a leader in AI-powered digital cell morphology, has launched its Complete Blood Morphology (CBM®) analyzer, a fully automated solution designed to transform hematology diagnostics. Built on Scopio’s proprietary Full-Field technology, CBM® eliminates one of the last manual steps in the diagnostic process—blood smear review—by autonomously analyzing 10 times more cells than traditional methods. This advancement addresses persistent workflow inefficiencies and labor shortages in clinical labs, aiming to significantly improve turnaround time, scalability, and consistency in patient care.

To support the commercial rollout of CBM®, Scopio Labs also announced a $10 million Series D extension led by Viola Growth, bringing the total round to $52 million. The new funding will help accelerate market access and further development of AI-driven solutions that standardize and automate morphology analysis. Scopio envisions CBM® as a key enabler of end-to-end hematology automation, bridging the gap between complete blood counts (CBCs) and final diagnostic results without routine human intervention.

Scopio’s current platforms—the X100 and X100HT—are already FDA-cleared and CE-marked for digital peripheral blood smear and bone marrow aspirate analysis. With CBM®, labs using these systems can seamlessly scale toward fully autonomous diagnostics. CEO and Co-founder Itai Hayut emphasized that the launch marks a strategic shift from decision-support tools to fully automated diagnostics, laying the groundwork for future morphology-based biomarkers and disease monitoring tools.
