Seegene Unveils Fully Automated PCR System and Global Diagnostics Data Platform at ADLM 2025

Korea-based Seegene, a leader in molecular diagnostics, has announced the debut of two major innovations at ADLM 2025 in Chicago: the CURECA™ fully automated PCR system and STAgora™, a global diagnostic data platform. Together, the technologies signal a new paradigm in automated diagnostics and real-time epidemiological insights.

CURECA™ – End-to-End PCR Testing Without Human Intervention
CURECA™ is the first PCR system to automate the full diagnostic workflow—from specimen storage through to final result interpretation—operating continuously without human input. Designed for high-throughput environments, the system aims to reduce human error, improve result consistency, and increase overall lab productivity.

At the core of CURECA™ is its breakthrough pre-treatment module, which fully automates sample preparation across a wide range of specimen types, including traditionally challenging samples like stool. This addresses a key bottleneck in PCR testing by removing the need for manual handling, enhancing efficiency, and enabling labs to reallocate staff toward higher-value clinical tasks.

The system’s modular design also allows integration into labs of varying sizes and configurations, while its capabilities extend beyond PCR to support workflows in clinical chemistry and immunoassays—broadening its impact across diagnostic disciplines.

STAgora™ – Global Data Intelligence for Real-Time Clinical Insights
Complementing the automation hardware is STAgora™, a cloud-based platform that aggregates and analyzes real-time PCR test results from institutions worldwide. Designed to aid clinicians in decision-making, the platform offers tools to assess individual patient data against local and global infection trends, co-infection patterns, and positivity rates.

With over 40 built-in statistical features, STAgora™ supports data-informed clinical strategies, helping providers optimize diagnosis and treatment based on live epidemiological context. Its integration into diagnostic workflows is expected to elevate both diagnostic precision and care delivery speed.

Strategic Expansion and Pilot Collaborations
Following early interest from ESCMID Global 2025, Seegene plans to expand access to both systems through global pilot programs and partnerships, with initial institutions to be onboarded by the end of the year. The company has also established U.S.-based subsidiaries, including Seegene CURECA, to scale R&D and manufacturing.

“CURECA™ and STAgora™ aren’t just new tools—they represent a fundamental shift in how diagnostics are conducted and applied,” said Daniel Shin, Executive Vice President and Chief of Global Sales & Marketing at Seegene. “By sharing our technology through strategic collaboration, we aim to accelerate the future of diagnostics worldwide.”
