Aidoc Expands Neuro AI Capabilities Through Partnerships With Cercare Medical and Circle CVI
New York-based Aidoc has announced strategic partnerships with Cercare Medical and Circle CVI to broaden its neurosciences portfolio, adding MR Perfusion analysis and automated ASPECTS (Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score) scoring to its clinical AI platform. This development aims to improve decision-making in stroke and other high-acuity neurological conditions where time-sensitive interpretation and coordination across specialties are critical.
The FDA-cleared and CE-marked algorithms from both partners will be integrated into Aidoc’s aiOS enterprise platform, which is designed to support the deployment of scalable AI and the integration of workflows across neuro teams. Following these additions, Aidoc’s neurosciences suite will cover a broader range of imaging-based assessments, supporting clinicians throughout the process, from initial imaging to intervention, and improving consistency across neurology, neuroradiology, neurointervention, and neurosurgery.
Tom Valent, Chief Business Officer at Aidoc, said that these partnerships reflect the company’s commitment to connecting fragmented neuro workflows. “By integrating their specialized expertise in MR Perfusion and ASPECTS, we’re not just adding features; we’re deepening our clinical insights and expanding the reach of AI to drive superior outcomes for patients with stroke and other complex neurological conditions,” he said.
Through its collaboration with Denmark-based Cercare Medical, Aidoc will incorporate advanced MR Perfusion capabilities, providing detailed insights into cerebral blood flow. These tools are used to identify salvageable brain tissue in extended-window stroke patients and to characterize brain tumors. Cercare Medical’s technology generates perfusion maps based on proprietary biomarkers, supporting more timely and informed clinical decisions.
Henrik Andersen, Chief Commercial Officer at Cercare Medical, stated that the integration will help bring advanced perfusion imaging to a wider audience. “This collaboration combines powerful imaging biomarkers with scalable AI integration, enhancing neurodiagnostic workflows and supporting faster, more informed treatment decisions for complex patient cases,” he said.
The partnership with Canada-based Circle CVI focuses on automated ASPECTS scoring, a widely used method for evaluating early ischemic changes on CT in acute stroke. By embedding Circle CVI’s automated approach into aiOS, Aidoc aims to support more consistent assessments, faster triage, and clearer communication among physicians involved in stroke care.
Circle CVI CEO Erkan Akyuz said that the collaboration demonstrates the value of combining specialized AI tools within a single platform. “By embedding our automated ASPECTS into Aidoc’s comprehensive platform, we can help more stroke teams achieve faster, more reliable assessments, ultimately impacting patient pathways positively,” he said.
Together, the integrations reinforce Aidoc’s platform-based strategy, offering health systems a unified environment for deploying clinically validated AI tools at enterprise scale while addressing the growing complexity of neuroimaging and stroke care workflows.
