Philips Expands Open Monitoring Ecosystem with Wearable and Out-of-Hospital Partnerships

Royal Philips has announced new collaborations with six companies — Blue Spark Technologies, Caretaker Medical, Cuviva, LifeSignals, Respiree, and smartQare across the United States, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Singapore, further expanding its open monitoring ecosystem. The partnerships integrate wearable and out-of-hospital technologies into the Philips ecosystem, helping health systems improve continuity and coordination of care by maintaining patient visibility from hospital admission through recovery at home.
As healthcare systems expand higher-acuity services beyond traditional hospital settings, maintaining visibility into patient status across the care continuum becomes increasingly important. Philips is leading this shift through an interoperable monitoring ecosystem that gives health systems flexibility to deploy and scale monitoring programs using technologies that best fit their clinical and operational needs. By connecting patient data across care settings, Philips aims to transform data into actionable care intelligence, supporting more efficient care coordination throughout the patient journey.
The partnerships expand the range of continuous patient measurements that can be integrated into the Philips ecosystem. Blue Spark Technologies offers the TempTraq wearable disposable patch for continuous core body temperature monitoring. Caretaker Medical provides the VitalStream wearable solution for continuous non-invasive blood pressure and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Cuviva delivers a Hospital at Home platform technology that enables structured, scalable home-based care through digital monitoring and integration with Philips workflows. LifeSignals offers the UbiqVue Multiparameter Biosensor, a single-use wireless chest-worn device supporting continuous monitoring of ECG, SpO₂, pulse rate, respiration rate, body temperature, posture, and motion. Singapore-based Respiree provides the 1Bio platform and wearable biosensor technology for continuous cardio-respiratory monitoring. smartQare offers viQtor and Healthdot wearable biosensor technologies for monitoring pulse, respiration, SpO₂, skin temperature, and activity.

The new capabilities complement Philips’ broader connected care portfolio, which includes solutions such as Mobile Cardiac Telemetry for remote monitoring of cardiac patients for up to 30 days following an inpatient or emergency department evaluation. By combining enterprise monitoring capabilities with an open network of innovation partners, Philips is helping shape the future of continuous patient monitoring across the care continuum.
