DePuy Synthes PUREVUE AIO All-in-One 4K Visualization System Completes First Installations in China

DePuy Synthes achieved another significant milestone in its localization strategy with the completion of manufacturing and delivery of the PUREVUE AIO All-in-One 4K Ultra-High-Definition Camera and Control System. Within the first month of product rollout, DePuy Synthes fully initiated commercial installations and clinical applications, ushering in a new era of precision diagnosis and treatment in orthopedic imaging. The PUREVUE AIO integrates a light source, camera, and digital image management system into one platform to deliver ultra-high-definition imaging for high-quality arthroscopic surgery. The system has completed its first batch of installations in several major Chinese hospitals, including the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University, Jining First People’s Hospital, and Ezhou Central Hospital. This marks the official entry of this locally manufactured orthopedic innovation into the clinical application phase. It has the potential to meet China’s growing orthopedic needs by providing more precise, efficient, and intelligent performance.
China is currently experiencing accelerated population aging, with the population aged 60 and above growing from 249 million in 2018 to 280 million in 2022. At the same time, public awareness of sports and fitness has increased significantly, with the sports participation population expected to grow from 430 million in 2019 to 630 million by 2035. Driven by both demographic aging and rising sports participation, China’s sports medicine sector is undergoing rapid development. Data shows that the volume of sports medicine surgeries in China continues to rise, with a compound annual growth rate of 9 percent. Clinical demands for greater surgical precision, operational efficiency, and diagnostic and therapeutic safety are steadily increasing, becoming core drivers of high-quality development in orthopedic care.
The PUREVUE AIO is designed to provide real-time ultra-high-definition imaging support for orthopedic surgery through a highly integrated, compact design, coupled with an intelligent image management solution. By leveraging technological innovation, the system helps achieve breakthroughs in arthroscopic surgery. In terms of all-in-one integration, through algorithm optimization, the device consolidates light source, camera, and image management functions within a compact structure, simplifying intraoperative workflows for surgeons. Regarding digital management, the system supports real-time intraoperative storage, enhancing the efficiency of image and data management. The 4K ultra-high-definition imaging quality significantly improves visual clarity during surgery, enabling surgeons to locate lesions more accurately and optimize surgical procedures.
