Aptyx Acquires Medical Murray’s North Carolina Facility to Expand Interventional Product Line

Tempe, AZ-based Aptyx, a global leader in developing and manufacturing complex components for the life sciences sector, has announced its acquisition of Medical Murray‘s Charlotte, North Carolina facility, known for its expertise in catheter-based interventional products and transcatheter implants. This strategic move marks the launch of Aptyx Interventional Systems and signifies a significant expansion in Aptyx’s service offerings and manufacturing capabilities.

The Charlotte team will be integrated into Aptyx, while Medical Murray will continue its operations at its remaining facilities in the Chicagoland area. The newly acquired facility will operate under Aptyx Interventional Systems, bolstering the company’s portfolio with advanced manufacturing capabilities and specialized expertise in catheter-based products and transcatheter solutions like implantable stents and frames. This expansion not only enlarges Aptyx’s ISO Class 7 footprint but also brings in a wealth of engineering talent and expertise in biotextiles such as ePTFE coverings for stents.
