Inogen, a leading provider of portable oxygen concentrators, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Yuwell, a prominent manufacturer of respiratory medical devices. This partnership aims to enhance Inogen’s product portfolio through the distribution of selected Yuwell respiratory products in the United States and other key markets. Additionally, Yuwell will invest approximately $27.2 million in Inogen, securing a 9.9% equity stake, which underscores the strategic nature of this alliance.

This collaboration is set to broaden Inogen’s research and development capabilities and accelerate its entry into the lucrative Chinese market. The partnership encompasses multiple facets of business cooperation, including international channel development, trademark licensing, joint R&D, and supply chain optimization. These initiatives are expected to bolster the global reach of both companies, enhance the development of innovative respiratory products, and optimize global medical and healthcare constructions.

Kevin Smith, President and CEO of Inogen, commented on the collaboration: “This strategic partnership with Yuwell marks a significant milestone in Inogen’s expansion strategy. By combining our strengths, we are set to enhance our global footprint and innovation pipeline, positioning us to capitalize on new market opportunities effectively.”

Alex Wu (吴群), Chairman of Yuwell, added: “Our collaboration with Inogen represents a shared commitment to innovation and quality in the respiratory care space. Together, we aim to transform patient care globally by setting new standards in respiratory health solutions.”

The agreement takes effect immediately, with the equity transaction expected to conclude in the first quarter of 2025, pending customary closing conditions.
