CoMind Raises $102.5 Million to Advance Non-Invasive Brain Monitoring Technology

London-based neurotechnology company CoMind has raised $102.5 million to accelerate development and regulatory approval of its non-invasive brain monitoring system. The latest financing was led by Plural, with participation from existing investors including LocalGlobe, Octopus Ventures, Crane, Backed VC, Angelini Ventures, and Entrepreneurs First. The capital will support clinical trials, U.S. regulatory submissions and manufacturing partnerships for the company’s first device, CoMind One.
CoMind is developing technology designed to measure key brain health indicators, such as cerebral blood flow and intracranial pressure, without the need for skull penetration. Today, invasive monitoring tools are used sparingly because of complication risks, leaving most patients without access to accurate cerebral data during critical moments of care. The company aims to close this gap by enabling continuous bedside monitoring for conditions such as traumatic brain injury and postoperative neurological complications.
Investor confidence in the platform reflects a broader shift toward non-invasive neurotechnologies in critical care. “James is truly a generational Founder and partnering with him and his team has been one of our great privileges as investors. CoMind One is expected to enter U.S. regulatory review within the next two years, with FDA clearance anticipated by 2027. In parallel, the company is also developing an AI layer designed to interpret sensor data and predict emerging complications in real time. The platform’s initial target market includes intensive care and surgical settings, where reliable neuromonitoring could influence time-critical treatment decisions.
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in the UK, CoMind has also entered early commercial collaborations, including a partnership with GE Healthcare in the United States. With this latest funding round, the company is among the most heavily backed neuro-device startups in Europe this year, reinforcing investor interest in scalable, non-invasive approaches to neurological care.
