Empyrean Medical Systems has completed a strategic financing agreement with Hamilton Reserve Bank, marking a new phase in the company’s plans to bring novel radiation oncology technologies to market. The transaction includes an equity investment that makes the bank an institutional shareholder in the Florida-based company, along with a commitment to arrange a credit line of up to USD 20 million, subject to customary terms and conditions.

Empyrean plans to use the funding to accelerate the rollout of its radiation oncology technologies and prepare for initial clinical use, pending regulatory approvals, as well as the commercial activities beginning in 2026. Kal Fishman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Empyrean Medical Systems, stated that the investment would help advance the company’s market entry strategy and support anticipated patient treatments in collaboration with MD Anderson Cancer Center and other cancer centers worldwide.

Sebastian Ambrose, general counsel at Hamilton Reserve Bank, highlighted the bank’s broader rationale for the investment and its alignment with Empyrean’s existing institutional backers. “Hamilton Reserve Bank is pleased to join other world-renowned institutions such as MD Anderson Cancer Center, which owns 15% of Empyrean and Mayo Clinic as co-shareholders in Empyrean Medical Systems,” he said. The agreement reflects continued investor interest in new approaches to radiation-based cancer treatment as companies prepare for the next wave of oncology innovation.
