Laplace Interventional has completed a $22 million Series C financing round led by a global strategic investor, with participation from Aphelion Capital and other venture firms. The Minnesota-based company will use the funds to complete its Early Feasibility Study (EFS) and advance the development of its minimally invasive tricuspid valve replacement technology for Tricuspid Regurgitation (TR) patients. The company has already treated 22 U.S. patients in its EFS study, with 25 patients enrolled globally showing promising outcomes.

“We’ve successfully treated three patients in our EFS who were discharged within 1-2 days and are doing well,” reported Dr. Brandon Jones of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. “The Laplace system demonstrates intuitive deployment and ease of use across various challenging anatomies.” The transcatheter technology aims to improve the quality of life for TR patients by eliminating the need for risky open-heart surgery.

“This financing validates our progress and supports our path toward pivotal trials,” said Ramji Iyer, PhD, Founder and CEO of Laplace Interventional. The company’s prosthetic valve represents a potential breakthrough for millions of TR patients worldwide, offering a safer alternative to traditional surgical approaches through its minimally invasive delivery system.
