SK Capital Partners has made a strategic investment in Spectrum Vascular, a medical technology company specializing in vascular access and medication management products designed to combat healthcare-associated infections. The recapitalization, done in partnership with Spectrum’s existing majority investor Event Capital Strategies (ECS), positions the company for accelerated growth while maintaining ECS’s significant ownership stake.

Since its founding in 2023, Spectrum Vascular has expanded rapidly through acquisitions, including Cook Medical’s vascular access business in 2023 and AngioDynamics’ vascular access business in 2024. The company’s portfolio leverages proprietary SV Spectrum™ and SV BioFlo™ technologies to address costly vascular access complications across the continuum of care.

“Spectrum represents exactly the type of innovative healthcare platform we seek to support,” said Jon Borell, Managing Director at SK Capital, noting the company’s potential to improve patient outcomes. ECS Managing Partners Chris Yamamoto and Richard Fay emphasized the strategic alignment: “SK Capital’s resources and expertise will help us scale solutions that reduce infection risks.”
