FIZE Medical, a leader in fluid management technology, has secured $30 million in Series A funding, including a $14 million Series A-4 round led by Rapha Capital Management. This investment supports the advancement of FIZE’s AI-enabled kidney function monitoring systems, which detect early signs of kidney deterioration and allow for real-time treatment adjustments to improve patient outcomes.

Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, FIZE Medical is set to expand its innovative technology—particularly its flagship FIZE-kUO® device—across the U.S., EU, and Asian markets. The device provides continuous, real-time monitoring of kidney output, crucial for managing the hemodynamic status of ICU patients and reducing complications associated with misdiagnosis. The global market for such AI-based technologies in critical care is valued at approximately $12 billion annually.

With the latest funding, FIZE Medical plans to enhance its platform with advanced features like AI-driven patient condition predictions and intra-abdominal pressure measurements. The funding round saw contributions from new and returning investors, including Valitas Venture Capital and eHealth Ventures, who are joining the company’s board as observers to aid in strategic expansion.

Dror Zerem, CEO of FIZE Medical, expressed enthusiasm about the new investments, stating, “This funding will significantly boost our efforts to scale our operations internationally and enhance our product offerings. We are excited to continue our journey in transforming patient care in critical settings globally.”
