Trinity Capital has announced a commitment of up to $50 million in growth funding for Nalu Medical, a company specializing in implantable neurostimulation solutions for patients with chronic intractable neuropathic pain.

Nalu’s proprietary Neurostimulation System features a small, battery-free implantable pulse generator controlled by a patient’s smartphone. The device uses advanced electrical waveforms to interrupt pain signals before they reach the brain and has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company recently gained expanded FDA clearance for its Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS) therapy, now approved for whole-body MRI-conditional use.

The financing will support the commercial rollout of Nalu’s next-generation Therapy Disc and ongoing clinical initiatives. Nalu has reported positive long-term real-world data for PNS, demonstrating reliable pain relief across a broad patient population. Trinity Capital stated its belief that Nalu is well-positioned to advance care in chronic pain management through its technological platform and clinical evidence base.
