Medical Imaging Insights Secures 100M+ RMB Series A to Advance AI Radiology Solutions

Medical Imaging Insights has closed a Series A financing round of over RMB 100 million led by Marathon Venture Partners, with participation from Dingrun Jiade and Kezhi Chuang’an. The Shanghai-based AI radiology specialist will use the funds to enhance its MIIA® foundational model – which integrates CT, MR, and X-ray data to streamline imaging workflows – while expanding clinical deployments. Since its founding in 2020, the company has partnered with leading Chinese hospitals, including West China Hospital and Beijing Tiantan Hospital, to develop diagnostic AI tools.

Its proprietary MIIA® model demonstrates strong generalization capabilities, improving accuracy by 10-20% with limited training data. Its downstream applications achieve an average Dice score of 0.9 in multi-organ segmentation, supporting accurate clinical decisions. The technology powers four core products: the intelligent imaging system (MIIA-iSpacs), data management platform (MIIA-iData), research tools (MIIA-iResearch), and AI deployment solutions (MIIA-AI).

This investment accelerates the company’s mission to transform radiology through AI, driving talent acquisition and deployment of a fully integrated medical imaging AI ecosystem that combines foundational model development with hospital-ready applications.
