Polarean Imaging has announced a strategic collaboration with SimonMed Imaging, a major provider of outpatient medical imaging services in the United States, to introduce Polarean’s state-of-the-art Xenon MRI platform across SimonMed’s extensive network. This initiative will enhance the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases.

SimonMed Imaging, known for its affordability and cutting-edge technology, operates over 170 facilities across 11 states. The integration of Polarean’s Xenon MRI platform will commence with an installation at a SimonMed facility in Scottsdale, Arizona, later this year. The collaboration is set to expand, potentially increasing the number of installations based on initial successes.

This initiative marks a significant step in making advanced functional lung imaging more accessible, supporting both companies’ commitment to leveraging technology to improve patient outcomes. The Xenon MRI technology offers detailed visualization of lung function, crucial for managing respiratory conditions like asthma, COPD, and unexplained dyspnea.

Dr. John Simon, Founder and CEO of SimonMed Imaging, emphasized the alignment of this technology with SimonMed’s mission to make leading-edge diagnostic tools accessible and affordable. “Polarean’s innovative Xenon MRI technology fits perfectly with our goal to provide tomorrow’s technology today,” said Dr. Simon. “This partnership will enhance our diagnostic capabilities, offering profound insights that could transform the management and outcomes of respiratory health conditions.”

Christopher von Jako, Ph.D., CEO of Polarean, commented on the shared values between the two companies, highlighting the potential impact of this collaboration. “Working with SimonMed, known for its dedication to accessible imaging technology, allows us to bring crucial lung health tools to a wider audience,” he said. “We are excited to start this program in Scottsdale and envision it as a blueprint for expanding our innovative imaging solutions to more locations across SimonMed’s network.”
