Verasonics and ImFusion Collaborate to Accelerate Ultrasound Innovation

Redmond, WA-based Verasonics has entered into a strategic collaboration with Munich-based ImFusion to advance ultrasound research and development. The partnership combines Verasonics’ Vantage® NXT Research Ultrasound Systems with ImFusion’s software for real-time image reconstruction, visualization, and AI-enabled workflows.
By enabling seamless data integration, researchers will be able to stream ultrasound images directly into ImFusion’s platform for advanced analysis. The solution includes GPU-based beamforming and AI-driven processing modules, creating faster pathways from development to clinical application.
Verasonics CEO Jon Daigle said the agreement reflects the company’s mission to accelerate the translation of ultrasound technologies to the clinic. ImFusion CEO Dr. Wolfgang Wein noted that for the first time, Verasonics data can be processed in real time within their software environment, expanding opportunities for product development and clinical research.
ImFusion’s consulting services are already available to Verasonics users, with future plans to further integrate the software across Vantage NXT systems. Additional details on expanded capabilities will be shared as the collaboration progresses.
