Tim Schmid Appointed EVP and Worldwide Chairman of Johnson & Johnson MedTech

Tim Schmid has been appointed Executive Vice President, Worldwide Chairman of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, succeeding Ashley McEvoy, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Chairman of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, who has informed the Company that she will step down from her role to pursue other opportunities and will remain with the company through the first quarter of 2024 to support a successful transition.
Ms McEvoy joined Johnson & Johnson 27 years ago in the Consumer Products Group and moved to MedTech in 2009, where she served as Worldwide President of Ethicon and then as Company Group Chairman of Vision and Diabetes Care before assuming her current role. Ms McEvoy currently serves as Chairman of the Board of AdvaMed.
A 30-year veteran of Johnson & Johnson, Mr Schmid most recently served as Company Group Chairman of Johnson & Johnson MedTech Asia Pacific (APAC), delivering above-market growth and further strengthening the Company’s leadership position in several businesses.
Mr. Schmid has held a variety of diverse leadership roles in sales, strategic marketing and general management across multiple businesses and geographies, including Chief Strategic Customer Officer for Johnson & Johnson MedTech, where he helped transform Johnson & Johnson’s business-to-business relationships with health systems in the U.S.
