AIxMed and PathNet Partner to Advance AI-Powered Urine Cytology in Digital Pathology

California-based AIxMed has formed a strategic partnership with diagnostic laboratory PathNet to enhance digital pathology workflows through the integration of artificial intelligence. The collaboration brings AIxMed’s AIxURO technology—an AI-powered solution for urine cytology—into PathNet’s digital platform, expanding its capabilities in diagnostic precision and efficiency.

AIxURO is designed to assist in the non-invasive assessment of bladder cancer by analyzing urine cytology specimens using The Paris System for Reporting Urinary Cytology. The software automatically identifies atypical or suspicious cells, helping pathologists make more accurate and consistent evaluations. By supporting early detection and reducing the need for invasive procedures like cystoscopies, the technology aims to improve both clinical decision-making and patient experience.
