BrainScope Appoints Matt Adams as CEO to Drive Next Phase of Growth in Neurotechnology
Rockville, Maryland-based BrainScope has appointed Matt Adams as Chief Executive Officer, marking the next phase in the company’s expansion of AI-driven brain health diagnostics. Adams succeeds Laurie Silver, who will assume the role of President while continuing to shape the company’s strategic direction. Both executives will serve on BrainScope’s Board of Directors.
Adams brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in medical technology, guiding companies through innovation, growth, and multiple successful exits. Over his career, he has delivered more than $1.3 billion in shareholder value, combining expertise in diagnostics, devices, and therapeutics. His background includes developing neuro-focused diagnostic and interventional platforms, scaling AI-enabled technologies, and leading global commercialization strategies across MedTech sectors.
Under Silver’s leadership over the past two years, BrainScope strengthened its operational and financial foundation. The company grew its brain injury assessment revenue by 50% year-over-year and developed a multimodal deep learning platform with potential applications across central nervous system disorders. Chairman of the Board Ralph Terkowitz praised Silver’s tenure, noting that her efforts positioned the company for “transformational growth,” and highlighted Adams’ appointment as a pivotal step toward expanding BrainScope’s global presence and clinical reach.
