Cornerstone Robotics Secures $70M in Series C Funding to Enhance Global Robotic Surgery Access

Cornerstone Robotics (康诺思腾), a prominent Hong Kong-based surgical robotics innovator, has successfully raised over $70 million in Series C funding to expand the accessibility of robotic surgery worldwide. The round was led by EQT with participation from Qiming Venture Partners, Alpha JWC Ventures, the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund, eGarden Ventures, CTS Funds, K2VC, Long-Z Capital and others.

The funds will be used to accelerate Cornerstone’s commercialization efforts, develop new products, conduct clinical trials, obtain regulatory approvals and promote the global adoption of advanced robotic surgical solutions. The investment also includes significant contributions from the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, demonstrating strong support for Cornerstone’s innovative capabilities and commercial potential.

Professor Samuel Au (欧国威), founder and CEO of Cornerstone Robotics, expressed his gratitude for the continued support of the investors and emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and quality. “Having achieved significant regulatory milestones, including NMPA approval for our ‘Sentire’ endoscopic surgical system, we are poised for further global expansion and innovation, particularly with our new facilities in the UK,” said Professor Au.
