GE Healthcare and CAICT Establish Strategic Partnership

China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and GE Healthcare signed a cooperation agreement on March 29th. The agreement focuses on key areas such as artificial intelligence medical devices, tele- medical devices, and medical device data security. The two parties will cooperate in technology, industry research, platform construction, security capabilities, and other aspects.

Baohong He, Director of the Institute of Cloud Computing and Big Data of CAICT, and Xuguang Sun, Chief Technology Officer of GE Healthcare China, signed the contract on behalf of both parties. Yu Xiaohui, President of CAICT, and Zhang Yihao, President and CEO of GE Healthcare China, witnessed the signing ceremony.

Yu Xiaohui stated that CAICT had previously cooperated with GE on industrial Internet and other aspects, and he looked forward to further cooperation in the field of medical care, particularly in the areas of intelligent medical equipment and digital medical care.

Zhang Yihao commented that GE Healthcare will continue to make efforts in three aspects: comprehensive domestic production, digital empowerment, and win-win cooperation, and continue to promote comprehensive localization. In this cooperation, the two parties will jointly explore the application of 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, and smart medical equipment in the healthcare industry and promote the digital, intelligent, and safe development of medical equipment.
