UK-based Cyted Health announced it has raised $44 million in a Series B round led by EQT Life Sciences, with participation from Advent Life Sciences, British Business Bank, Morningside, and BGF. The financing also includes a non-dilutive contribution from HCA Healthcare. Funds will be used to accelerate U.S. commercialization, strengthen its UK market presence, and expand its portfolio of gastrointestinal diagnostics.

Cyted’s platform combines its FDA-cleared EndoSign device, which enables minimally invasive collection of esophageal cells, with proprietary biomarker assays for early detection of pre-cancerous, cancerous, and inflammatory conditions. The company has performed more than 35,000 tests within the UK’s National Health Service and built a significant body of peer-reviewed evidence supporting clinical adoption.

Founded by University of Cambridge experts, Cyted aims to redefine early detection in upper GI diseases through biomarker-driven molecular diagnostics. The company recently established a Clinical Advisory Board of gastroenterology and oncology specialists to guide product development and expansion strategy.

EQT Life Sciences said the investment reflects Cyted’s potential to become a global leader in minimally invasive GI diagnostics, with U.S. market entry representing the next major step in its growth.
