Neurovalens Raises £6M to Advance Global Rollout of FDA-Cleared Neurostimulation Devices

Belfast-based Neurovalens has closed a £6 million investment round to accelerate global expansion of its non-invasive neurotechnology portfolio. The funding was led by the Investment Fund for Northern Ireland (IFNI), with Clarendon Fund Managers contributing £1.5 million and Whiterock’s Growth Capital Fund investing £780,000. Existing investors—including IQ Capital, Innovation Ulster Ltd, Angel Co-Fund, and private backers—also participated, alongside a £1 million loan from IFNI’s debt fund.
Neurovalens specializes in neurostimulation devices targeting conditions such as insomnia, anxiety, and PTSD. Its Modius Sleep and Modius Calm devices have already secured FDA clearance and are being prescribed in the U.S. The company plans to use the capital to scale international sales, strengthen its regulatory pipeline, and expand its product range.
CEO Dr. Jason McKeown said the investment marks a critical step in scaling commercial operations and advancing additional FDA approvals. With total funding now around £20 million, Neurovalens continues to position itself as a leader in non-invasive treatments for global health challenges.
