As an affiliated teaching hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, it hosts major national research platforms including the National Key Scientific and Technological Infrastructure for Translational Medicine (Shanghai), the National Key Laboratory of Omics and Disease, and the National Clinical Research Center for Metabolic Diseases. Medical Technology & Equipment

Ruijin Hospital is among China’s early adopters of advanced medical technologies and precision medicine platforms. The hospital has deployed systems including PET-MR, PET-CT, 3.0T MRI, proton radiotherapy, spiral tomographic radiotherapy (TOMO), intraoperative radiotherapy systems, the sixth-generation gamma knife for cranial procedures, and fourth-generation da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical systems. Supported by the Shanghai Digital Medicine Innovation Center and research programs in robotics and imaging, the hospital continues to expand capabilities in precision diagnostics, minimally invasive procedures, and digitally enabled healthcare.
